Some believe that a criminal law attorney witnesses people at their best in difficult situations, while a family law attorney sees otherwise good people at their worst. There is indeed some truth to this perspective. Family law, especially when it involves the dissolution of a marriage or relationship, is one of the most emotionally and financially taxing experiences a person may encounter in their lifetime. In my more than 25 years as a family law attorney, I have seen firsthand the many ways these challenges impact the thousands of clients I have been privileged to represent.
My commitment to my clients goes beyond simply resolving their cases on the most favorable terms. I also aim to help them gain perspective on what they need to move forward in life. By carefully evaluating their unique legal and factual circumstances, I provide a comprehensive and thoughtful analysis of the possible scenarios and likely outcomes. When asked, I offer my personal opinion on what I would do if I were in their position but always remind my clients that the decision is ultimately theirs. It is their life, and after being presented with all the options, they must choose their path. Throughout this journey, I ensure that my clients receive frequent feedback and guidance, so they are always informed and never left in the dark.
